On October 31st, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade released the Global Economic and Trade Friction Index for August, with an index of 247, still at a high level, up 59 points from the same period last year and 137 points from the previous month.
In terms of the country index, Russia, India and Türkiye rank in the top three of the 20 countries (regions) in terms of economic and trade friction index, and the United States, the European Union and Japan rank in the top three in terms of the amount of economic and trade friction measures.
From the perspective of industry indices, the electronic, chemical, transportation equipment, steel, mechanical equipment, agriculture, light industry, pharmaceuticals, and non-ferrous metal industries are all at high levels, becoming the main conflict points of economic and trade friction measures.
Among the 13 major industries monitored, the electronic industry has the highest economic and trade friction index.
